Sri Navin Mittal, IAS., Commissioner of Technical Education and Chairman, State Board of Technical Education and Training released Polycet-2020 results.The Common Entrance Examination for admission into Polytechnics (POLYCET-2020) was held on 02-09-2020, the results were declared on 10-09-2020.
Out of 73920 candidates registered, 56945 have appeared for the examination. In this 46207 candidates have qualified in Engineering stream representing 81.14 %. Out of 34748 boys appeared for the examination 27354 qualified in Engineering, indicating 78.72 %. Similarly out of 22197 Girls appeared for the examinations 18853 have qualified representing a pass percentage of 84.93 %.
Further 46318 candidates have qualified in Agricultural stream representing 81.34 %. Out of 34748 boys appeared for the examination 27244 qualified, indicating 78.40 %. Similarly out of 22197 Girls appeared for the examinations 19074 have qualified representing a pass percentage of 85.93 %.
Details of the candidates Registered/Appeared/Qualified from each District, Gender wise along with other statistical data of POLYCET-2020 are enclosed.
The minimum qualifying marks in POLYCET-2020 is 30% i.e. 36 marks out of 120 for all category candidates, except SC and ST for whom there is 01(ONE) minimum qualifying mark. Out of 9510 SC candidates who have appeared for the POLYCET-2020 examination 9508 have been assigned ranks in both engineering and agricultural streams based on their performance.
Out of 4715 ST candidates who have appeared for the POLYCET-2020 examination 4715 have been assigned ranks in both engineering and agricultural streams based on their performance.
Ranking has been assigned to candidates based on total marks secured in POLYCET-2020 separately for engineering and agricultural stream.
A) For admission into polytechnics of Technical Education department ranks will be given in preferential order of marks secured in Mathematics, Physics.
B) Agricultural Polytechnics of Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad the ranks will be given in preferential order of marks secured in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates have been awarded the same rank on non resolution of tie based on the above criterion .Resolution of tie will be taken up based on Date of birth and total marks secured in SSC examination at the time of verification of certificates during web counseling when the data will be available.
