Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali felicitated Plasma donors

Sri Mohd Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home felicitated Plasma donors who donated plasma after their recovery from coronavirus at Cyberabad Police commissioner office, Gachibowli On Thursday. Sri.

Mohd Mahmood Ali wholeheartedly appreciated all the plasma donors who saved lives of 1300 plus patients in critical and emergency conditions with the help and support of Cyberabad Police.On this occasion Home Minister said, “Iam overwhelmed to see Cyberabad police going out of their way to help people out. One should always remember that service to people is real service. I want to thank each one you present here for carrying out such a program, to spread awareness amidst tough times of pandemic.

It is gives me immense pleasure to say that all of you in the police force are carrying out the efforts to make state the best place to live in which is the vision of Shri. K Chandrashekar Rao, Honourable Chief Minister Of Telangana. And I am proud to say that the Telangana Police is the number one police across the country.”Minister requested the parents of Covid warriors to encourage their children for donating Plasma which saves lives of corona patients. He said It is a proud moment to thank Plasma donors and their family members for support and encouragement.

Minister reiterated that Plasma donation is a social responsibility and Donors are God gifts as they were saving lives. He requested public to come forward and donate Plasma for which Society will be grateful for the plasma donors.Speaking on opening of the felicitation programme, addressing the gathering Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS., said, “I would like to thank each stakeholder who have been working hard to make the cause successful.

Initially there was a misconception among people about plasma donation. At the beginning we started the campaign initially everyone was hesitant, but now it has become a movement. Total 761 people till date donated Plasma and saved 1300 plus lives in critical and emergency condition in Cyberabad.

Our Madhapur Traffic Inspector Srinivas who was first infected with COVID 19, after recovering was the first person who came forward and donated plasma, and then later everyone joined in. Iam happy, now all donors who are different realms of life like businessmen, IT employees and people who have donated plasma have now become agents who have been actively promoting awareness on plasma donation. Before starting the plasma donation camp, we had first conducted blood donation camp, and we had collected 5,300 units, and donated the same to blood banks across the city. For this I would primarily want to thank SM Vijay Kumar, DCP Traffic Cyberabad, Praveen Reddy, Add. DCP Traffic, Inspector Hanumantha Rao, who had co-ordinated all the efforts. We have constituted a call centre for plasma helpline and helped out people who were in need of plasma.

We are happy that we were able to help out people, whenever they needed us.”SCSC General Secretary Krishna Yedula said at present ongoing Covid Pandemic, SCSC took up many initiatives to serve the society and Plasma donation initiative is one of the impactful one saving hundreds of lives.ADCP Traffic Praveen Kumar Said, People should be aware on the importance of plasma donation in the current situation and he requested all the recovered persons to come forward and support the initiative of Cyberabad Police.
